Lying Down Is For Babies

Ready to crawl.

Mmmmmm!!

Nothing satisfies like a nice jar of mushy peas!

Walk For Hearing

Dear Lily,
Yesterday we participated in the Walk For Hearing with some of Mommy's
work friends. You had a great time watching all the people and pets
walking along with us. Here we are shortly after crossing the finish
line.

By the way, your shirt was meant for a two year old.

Tickle Time!

Good Day For A Baptizin'

Dear Lily,

Last weekend we got you good and baptized. Grandma Norma and Grandpa Mando came into town to celebrate with us. We were worried you would be fussy since we know how you don't like your head messed with during bath time, but when Father Paul poured the water over your head you flashed us all an ear to ear smile. We couldn't help but smile ourselves.

I think you wanted to go a second time because it looks like you're pointing towards the baptismal font.

We got back home and you were in the mood to play. Here you are with a big smile in Grandpa's arms. You had a good time showing him all your toys

Grandma and Grandpa brought you a time out chair, which we hope not to use, and a green tree frog bigger than you. Here you are checking it out.

What baby can resist bubbles? Looks like Grandma and Grandpa can't either.

You seem to be reaching new milestones each day now and you make Mommy and me so proud to have such a happy and healthy baby. We love you, Lily.

Love,
Dad

Update: 5 months

Dear Lily,
Today you are five months old! I can't believe how fast you are growing! You are doing so many things now. You are almost able to sit up all by yourself. You love to stand up. Your legs are super strong and you can stand for a long time. Your ability to reach out and grasp an object has really improved. Your an old pro at handling toys now. So far, everything goes in your mouth. I now have to be careful about what's in arms length of you. In one quick swipe you had my grocery list in your mouth and I could no longer read it. You smile all the time and your sense of humor is beginning to emerge. Daddy and I still live to make you laugh.

We continue to work on sleeping through the night. You do to a great job at going to bed around 7:00. After a long day, you seem to be relieved to be relaxing in bed. But, for some reason you usually wake up around 2:00am and demand to be fed. From 2:00 until 7:00am you have a really hard time staying asleep. Hopefully we will keep making progress and eventually I will get to report that you are finally sleeping through the night!

Yesterday you were baptized and you did great! Pictures of the event to be posted later. Last weekend we had a wonderful picnic at Smith Playground in Fairmont Park. We had a great time eating, giggling, and standing on playground equipment. Here are some pictures of the day:

Concentration

You have had this toy for a while. Music plays when you hit that
little ball. Yesterday you figured it out. You have a very focused
look on your face. Way to go!
