Dear Rio,
Yesterday you turned 6 months old. The newest development in your world is that you have decided that sitting still is just not for you. You are constantly moving. Always trying to maneuver closer to something (everything) that is just barely out of reach. You love to smile and you are the best to cuddle with. My only complaint is that you grab and pull my hair about a hundred times a day. You pull my hair so much that I'm fairly confident you understand the phrase "let go." You turn to your name and I think you also understand the word "milk." You are very vocal but mostly produce "ah" really loudly. Lately I haven't heard you babble any of the consonants you were working on last month. You have started to actively play with toys and you are almost sitting up all by yourself. You still don't role over very much. You have done it a few times but not regularly. You get very excited when you see one of us eat. You have almost leaped out of my arms into my plate of food a couple of times. You have been eating a little baby food for fun. Now that you are six months old we are ready to dive into the world of baby food full force. You still aren't sleeping through the night and some how you have managed to train us to hold you for your naps. That is seriously going to have to end soon. Sorry about that, it was good while it lasted.
You had your six month doctor visit today. Here are your stats:
Height = 27.75" (89.32%)
Weight = 18 lb 4 oz (65%)
Head circumference = 43.2 cm (34.35%)
You're looking good. I may be a little biased but I think your the cutest little baby boy I've ever seen.
Love you,
Mommy
