One too many
Rio,
While out to dinner the other night you were hanging out and awake on Daddy's lap. Daddy was talking to Zach. I got up to go play with Lily. When I got back I saw this:
Soccer with Daddy
Rio,
Here you are watching soccer with Daddy. Thus far, you seem to enjoy sitting on the couch watching sports with Daddy. Daddy really really needs a sports buddy in the house so I hope you keep up the interest!
Glass slippers
Lily,
Grandma Mandy sent you a care package the other day. In the package were some clear plastic shoes that Grandma affixed a pom pom of yarn. The shoes light up when you walk. You LOVE these shoes. And since they are clear you are convinced that they are glass slippers. You will now frequently pretend to be Cinderella and ask for your glass slippers.
Fun Places with Jacqueline
You guys have both adjusted really well to having Jacqueline take care of you three days a week. She always takes you on amazing outings that make me jealous that I have to be a work. Here is Lily at the butterfly exhibit at Seattle Center:
Fall Fun
The fall has provided us with some really beautiful days. We try to take advantage of every sunny day. Lily has now moved up to the big kid swings:
Taking a walk down our street with the most amazing color leaves you have ever seen:
Jumping in leaves with Daddy at Seward Park:
Halloween 2011
We had quite an eventful halloween this year. It started with a trip to a pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. It was a cold and damp morning, so Rio, you spent the entire outing like this:
Kim, Zach, and Grant met us at the pumpkin patch. Lily, here you are feeding the animals with Grant:
Even though you look grumpy in this picture....you had a lot of fun riding around in a wheelbarrow:
A few days later Audrey and Emmy came over to carve the pumpkins. Audrey was the only one interested in the carving of the pumpkins this year. Lily was too busy dancing around the yard.
The day before halloween you got to put on your costumes and tick or treat at the businesses in Madrona. Lily, if your costume looks a little familiar that's because it's the same one from last year. You were adamant that you wanted to be a butterfly. Here you are with Pippy Longstocking (Audrey):
Rio, sorry dude, we had to put you in the same ridiculous pumpkin costume that your sister wore. Just had to do it:
Lily you are 2 1/2 years old and the only candy you know about are lollipops. You were really really excited to see someone put a lollipop in your pumpkin.
So then the actually day of halloween arrived. Kim and Grant stopped by for a second. Grant was dressed as a puppy but he wasn't feeling to well that night.
Then we went trick or treating with Audrey. You totally got the idea and didn't hesitate to walk up to people's door and say "trick or treat!"
