Dear Rio,

A few weeks ago we decided to give you your first test of real food.  Needless to say....you loved it!

Rio- This picture pretty much sums you up these days.  You are ALWAYS trying to grab something.  Those hands are quick to snatch up any object remotely in arms reach.  

Lily- This picture pretty much sums you up these days.  You are ALWAYS reading books.  I have seen you read a stack of books without moving for two hours.  You have memorized all your stories so you "read" them to yourself now.  You are showing interest in phonics and what letter starts a word. Any day now I fully expect you to start reading stories to me for a change

Lights at Bellevue Botanical Gardens

The Bellevue Botanical Gardens does this amazing garden of lights.  It was a chilly night so the two of you stayed bundled up in your stroller the whole time.  

Thanksgiving 2011

Dear Lily and Rio,

The 2011 Holiday season is upon us!  This is Mommy and Daddy's favorite time of year.  Grandpa and Nonna came to visit for Thanksgiving this year.  We had a lot of fun. Lily had a blast playing with Nonna!  We all went out see the a holiday parade (well it's sort of a parade) in Bellevue.  It was very loud and Rio could only handle it for about 15 minutes. These pictures are when Rio still thought it was cool:

Grandpa and Nonna went to Uncle Nathan's and Aunt Stephanie's for the actual Thanksgiving dinner.  It was a collaborative effort, but we cooked a turkey. We ate at Aunt Heidi's house.

Grandpa and Nonna brought you antlers to wear:

Lily may say that the best part about grandparents visiting is the chocolate.  They brought a big box of chocolate that Lily LOVED!!

It was a great Thanksgiving week.  As usual we didn't take enough pictures.
