Grandma came to visit last weekend. We did a little Christmas- Part II. Grandma handmade you so many wonderful gifts. She had a suitcase for each of you to open that was stuffed full of toys. We ate great food, played, and laughed a lot. We were all sad to see her leave. Grandma put together a wonderful tea party for you Lily. It was complete with formal invitations, formal dress-up, real tea, and much more. You had a blast.

Painting
We've been in the new house for several months now and are just now starting to paint every room. Good thing we have your help Lily! (PS- Daddy says you are making the same face that Mommy does in this picture)
Rio Update: 19 Months
Dear Rio,
You have a big personality. You are a funny little guy and it's a challenge to convey all the things you do in writing. You make me laugh out loud every single day. There is a glimmer of mischief and humor in your eye. Here are some of the things that make you who you are for today:
-Your current favorite game is to tackle me to the ground only to then walk on my body and leap off onto the floor. You will do this over and over. You tumble onto the ground like a stunt man.You have no fear.
-You like to run, jump, throw balls, and climb.
-You love your purple polkadot blanket and binky.
-You are fascinated by tools. You are entertained by your toy tool sets.
-You call everyone (except for Lily) Mama. At some point during each day you point to each one of us and tell us our names. You still point to Daddy and say "Mama!" You call Lily "Ihee." You started saying "Mamaw" for Grandma during her recent visit.
-You are quick to give a hug and kiss to if someone is hurt (or if Lily is crying).
-You really really like to watch TV.
-You totally stopped eating all vegetables. You are a fruit guy.
-All your teeth are now in.
-You like to point to my face and tell me: eyes, nose, mouth, head.
-If I ask if you have a boo-boo you ALWAYS answer yes. When I ask where's your boo-boo you always point to your head.
-You are always excited to go in the backyard to throw rocks in the pond.
-On occasion, I have looked over at you to find you have pulled your pants down.
-You are super easy to put to sleep at night and for naps but you continue to wake up at 5:45 EVERY morning.
-You love to sing. You sing a cute a mumbled rendition of the ABCs and twinkle little star.
-Here are the words you say now: oh man, nice, go, yes, no, more, eyes, nose, mouth, bird, moon, car, airplane, Mama, Lily, Scout, up, backpack, map, blueberries (boobah), why, balloon (boon), ball, uh-oh, down, moo, quack, baa, neigh, elmo, mickey mouse (mow).
You are a little ball of energy and that energy rubs off on me every day.
Love you,
Mama

Lego Rio
There has been a lot of recent interest in Lego play with both Lily and Rio. Rio, you will focus for a long time trying to manipulate the tiny lego pieces. Your favorite thing to do is take the hair on and off the lego people. I predict this is just the beginning of a long relationship with Lego!
