Sledding

 The second day we went sledding something set Lily off.  I think the snow was too crunchy?  I'm not sure, but Lily didn't want anyone to sled.  Rio had fun but he too was a little unsure of the cold white stuff.  

Suncadia 2013

Last weekend we rented a house in Suncadia with Aunt Heidi, Uncle Steven and your cousins in order to show you guys some fun in the snow.  Unfortunately, when we got there we realized there was very little snow.  We made the most of it and had some good fun.  We were able to find a perfect little snowy hill on the golf course to sled down.  

Mariner Fan Day

We went to Mariner Fan Day.  I'm not sure if we went for Daddy or for you guys but we all had fun.  It was chilly but you guys handled it pretty well.  The highlight of the day was running the bases and getting balloons.  

Rio Update: 20 Months

Dear Rio,

You are my sweet and happy little boy.  There has not been a great deal of change in the past month, except for communication.  You went from having a handful of words to more than I can count.  You like to put wipes in your mouth and one day I said "gross."   So now you walk around saying "gross" with your nose appropriately wrinkled.  You finally started calling Daddy "Dada." Some of your new favorite words are: rock, milk, book, (you have mastered that final /k/), banana, apple, bar (cereal bar), pink, blue, car, truck.  That's just to name a few.  You like to run into a room, wag your finger, and jargon like you are preaching something VERY important.  Then you run away.  You can count to ten, sing the alphabet, and you know several of your colors.

You are extremely physical.  You like to climb and jump off anything you can find.  You have no fear at the playground.  You look for the tallest slide and go down all by yourself.  I imagine you will probably be a pretty good athlete.  You and Lily have really started playing together recently.  You are very concerned if you don't know where she is.  You guys have been chasing and tackling each other.  You have brought out a certain side in Lily that no one else could have found.
