Dear Rio,
Today you turned 14 months old. There have been big changes in the last month. You are officially walking. You figured it out a few weeks ago but have really mastered it in the last few days. Taking a stumble doesn't seem to faze you. You now much prefer to walk than crawl. Your babbling has really increased lately. You say a few words: uh-oh, go, Scout. You will say some word approximations for "up" and "more" when prompted. I'm still waiting for a "Mama." You do this funny thing where you will answer "no" when you get asked a question, regardless of what the question is. Things that currently interest you are: climbing on the couch, standing on the couch, dumping toys out, anything to do with water, pushing cars/trains, throwing balls, pushing anything that looks like a button, emptying the dishwasher, chasing your sister.
You are sleeping much better. You go to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and take two long naps in the day. You continue to wake up around 5:30 every morning. As much as I would love for you to sleep a little longer in the morning, I have come to depend on our lengthy morning snuggles to start the day. After you wake up I bring you in our bed and you give these great hugs and kisses. You have become very attached to your blanket and pacifier. You would have your pacifier in your mouth all day if we let you; except if you are eating of course. You pretty much eat what we eat now, although you are starting to show much interest in vegetables. Your favorite food (by far) is pizza. You can eat more pizza than Lily. You also love every kind of fruit. You constantly want to stick your fingers in my plate of food and you get really mad when I don't let you. You are curious every minute of the day.
Love you,
Mommy
